For a warehouse or distribution decision-maker, cleaning products are rarely front of mind until they show up in a safety audit, an SDS binder that no one wants to maintain, or a near-miss involving a decanted drum in a chemical store. Conventional industrial cleaning brings concentrated degreasers, acids and quaternary disinfectants onto site — each one a stored hazard, a spill risk, and a source of vapour in enclosed dock areas.

Elimination sits at the very top of the WHS hierarchy of controls, above substitution, engineering and PPE. When you remove the hazardous chemistry rather than just managing exposure to it, you delete an entire category of risk from your assessments. Why low-tox matters more in an industrial setting

Warehouses concentrate the conditions that make cleaning-chemical exposure dangerous. Our approach uses a small set of proven, low-residue methods matched to the task.

• Electrolysed water (HOCl): made on site from water and a trace of salt, it cleans and sanitises, then reverts to salt water. It is GECA-certified and TGA-listed, so it does real disinfection work without leaving hazardous residue.
• Stabilised aqueous ozone: effective on general soiling and odours, it reverts to oxygen and water after use — no chemical to store, decant or dispose of.
• Dry steam: low-moisture thermal decontamination for machinery surrounds, amenities and grouted areas, useful where you cannot flood a floor near stock or electrical gear.
• Colour-coded microfibre with disciplined dwell times: prevents cross-contamination between amenities, offices and production zones, with the contact time each surface actually needs.

Where a task is disinfection-critical, we retain TGA-listed disinfectants for that specific job. We describe our program honestly as using no added synthetic chemicals and leaving no hazardous residue — never as chemical-free.

The low-water angle matters operationally too. Less standing water on a warehouse floor means faster return to traffic, lower slip risk, and less moisture pushed toward stored goods.
