Why the surface a toddler licks matters more than the one you can see

Early learning is the one setting where cleaning residue is not an abstract risk. Infants crawl across the floor, then bring their hands to their mouths. Toys go from one child's mouth to the next. How the methods work

Dry steam applies high-temperature, low-moisture vapour to decontaminate surfaces and lift soil without saturating them. It is well suited to soft furnishings, high chairs, cot rails, mats and the seams and crevices where grime hides — and because it leaves surfaces close to dry, rooms are back in use quickly.

Activated water covers two low-tox chemistries. Electrolysed water (hypochlorous acid, made on site from water and a trace of salt) is GECA-certified and TGA-listed, and reverts to salt water after use. Stabilised aqueous ozone reverts to oxygen and water. Both clean effectively with no added synthetic chemicals and no hazardous residue left on the surfaces children touch.

Colour-coded microfibre with disciplined dwell times prevents cross-contamination between nappy areas, kitchens, bathrooms and play spaces — the kind of zoning ACECQA-aligned hygiene practice expects.

TGA-listed disinfectants are retained, deliberately, for disinfection-critical tasks such as nappy-change surfaces, illness outbreaks and bathroom fixtures. Low-tox does not mean under-disinfected. It means the right tool for each task, and no blanket chemical use where it adds risk without benefit.

To be precise about what we claim: this is a program with no added synthetic chemicals on everyday surfaces and no hazardous residue — not a "chemical-free" service, which is a claim no honest cleaner can make.
